I Am and Always Will Be
How often do we tell ourselves that we aren't good enough? Not successful enough. Not attractive enough. Not clever enough. Not confident enough. We can spend years measuring ourselves against other people and searching for evidence that we are falling short. But the message behind “I am and always will be” offers a very different way of looking at ourselves. The poster carries the powerful statement “Good enough, smart enough and strong enough”, placing self-belief at the heart of its message.
Being good enough doesn't mean being perfect. It doesn't mean you never make mistakes or that there aren't things you want to improve. It means understanding that your imperfections don't remove your value.
You can want to become healthier without disliking yourself today. You can want to learn more without believing you aren't intelligent enough. You can work on becoming stronger without deciding that you are weak.
You are not broken. Sometimes the problem isn't who you are. It is the way you have learned to look at yourself.
Other people's opinions can become powerful if we allow them to. Criticism, rejection and failure can all make us question our worth. But none of them has the authority to decide who you are.
You don't need to earn the right to respect yourself. You don't need to become somebody else before you can believe in yourself. Start with what is already there.
You are good enough to begin. You are smart enough to learn. You are strong enough to face another day. And when you make a mistake, remember that you haven't lost those qualities. You are still you. Maybe it's time you started believing it.
